Spean Bridge School is situated just down the road from the Commando Memorial on the A82. To get there, just go down to the junction in Spean Bridge, take the road into the village and you will find the school.
The school opened in 2002. Every year since then it has been keeping well. Of course all of our school’s janitors work very hard to keep it up and running.
The school has six classes: Primary 1/2 with Mrs. Bamber, Primary 2/3 with Miss MacLeod, Primary 3/4 with Mrs. Weld-Moore, Primary 5/6 with Mrs. Ross and Primary 6/7 with Ms Brown.
The school also has a full time nursery with flexible places availible.
Our Head Teacher is Mrs Kate MacGillivray. She works very hard because she is also the Head Teacher of Roy Bridge School.
We are very lucky to have Mrs Grant, our PE teacher, Mrs Wilshaw, our Music Teacher, Miss Thompson, our Woodwind Instructor and Mr Reynolds, our brass instructor.
The school also has a tuck shop where you can buy fruit for 20p. The tuck shop is run by the pupils in the school.
The school has a fantastic playground with painted hopscotch and snakes and ladders. We also have an assault course and a huge pitch with football goals.
We have a gym hall with bars and a brilliant variety of equipment. The hall also has white lines for netball.
The canteen has two cooks, Catherine and Rhona, who cook us delicious meals at lunchtime and also supply us with fresh milk.
